A studio jeweler and educator in the field of metal-smithing for over 25 years, I make objects inspired by architecture, by nature as architect and by my desire to build. My jewelry is hand-fabricated, cast, cold-connected, soldered, textured and die-formed. I primarily work with oxidized sterling silver and 14k gold to create my wearable small-scale sculptures. Stones and beads provide a counterpoint of color and rhythm to the industrial quality of the metal while alluding to the idea of abundance.

These wearable small-scale sculptures are informed by my fascination with the process of building, how materials interact with one another, and how a structure grows from an idea. I am continuously striving to find an aesthetic balance between the industrial and natural worlds with a focus on functionality.
